£40 · 60 minutes · Online
Do not wait until exam day to discover what your preparation missed.
This session is for you if you have never taken the exam and want to know where to focus; if you are already studying but are unsure what is actually costing you marks; or if you have taken the exam before and keep getting stuck at the same score.
The useful question is not only, "What score did I get?" It is: "Why am I getting this result, and what should I work on next?"
How the 60 minutes runs
After a complete submission, your tutor reviews the evidence. The teacher reviewed report is due within six UK working hours.
Your Diagnostic is matched to the exam and target you selected.
Choose your exact exam route and skill when you book. Your performance is checked against the current criteria for that route and compared with your target score, band, grade or communication goal.
Conversational English
Your performance is considered against the communication goal selected before the session. Your report explains how clearly, naturally and effectively you currently communicate and what still stands between your present performance and that goal. Conversational English does not receive an exam score or grade.
IELTS Academic, General Training and IELTS for UKVI
Your response is checked against the current criteria for the exact IELTS product and selected skill. Your report explains how well those criteria are met and how the performance relates to your target band.
PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI
Your response is checked against the current criteria and scoring requirements for the exact PTE product, task and selected skill. Your report explains how well the required standard is met and how the performance relates to your target score.
TOEFL iBT, current format
Your response is checked against the current TOEFL iBT criteria for the exact task and selected skill. Your report explains how well the relevant standard is met and how the performance relates to your target score.
OET Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Veterinary Science
Your response is checked against the current OET criteria for the profession and selected skill confirmed before the session. Your report explains how well those criteria are met and how the performance relates to your target grade.
UKVI routes
The exact approved test product is confirmed before the session. Your response is checked against that product’s current criteria, and the report explains how your performance relates to the target score or grade you provided. Official visa eligibility must still be confirmed through the appropriate government guidance.
Skills that can be checked
Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening are available where they belong to your selected exam route. Conversational English is checked against the communication goal you select.

Understand where you stand and what comes next.
You are not given vague advice or a lecture. Your report uses examples from your own response, explains the main issue clearly and gives you a practical improvement that remains natural to your words and thoughts.
Your tutor approves the report before you receive it.
Nothing is released until your tutor has reviewed your completed submission. Your report is due within six UK working hours.

- ✓Up to two secondary blockers, only where the evidence supports them
- ✓Evidenced strengths, not generic encouragement
- ✓Examples from your own work showing where the blocker appears
- ✓Own words improvements: clearer, stronger versions that remain realistic for you
- ✓Realistic pressure practice linked to the blocker
- ✓One measurable next priority
- ✓An indicative score or range, only where the evidence supports it, and never presented as an official exam score
You may not need more English. You may need a better way to use the English you already have.
We do not replace your answer with a polished model response full of vocabulary you would never naturally use. We start with your words. Where language genuinely limits the result, we work on it. Where it does not, we focus on the task, decision, timing, technique or pressure problem that the evidence actually shows.
Do not just find out your score. Find out what is causing it.
Practice feedback is indicative and is not an official test score.
How your classes happen
Live classes normally use Cal Video. For learners in Mainland China, Quick Talk Tutor may use Tencent Meeting where this has been arranged for reliable access. Learners in Japan and other countries normally use Cal Video unless another approved platform is specifically agreed. Your confirmed booking tells you which private joining link to use and gives any setup instructions.
For a Diagnostic Session, use a laptop or desktop with a working microphone. An ordinary live class may be joined by phone, but the private Diagnostic runner requires a laptop or desktop.
