QuickTalk Tutor was built around a simple problem: learners are often told what they got wrong without anyone properly investigating why the same problem keeps happening.
As Founder and Principal Tutor, Chisom leads the teaching approach behind QuickTalk Tutor: start with the learner's actual performance, work backwards from what the exam assesses, identify the patterns limiting that performance, and help the learner make changes they can realistically reproduce for themselves.
IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, OET and UKVI routes are not interchangeable exams. They have different task types, scoring systems and requirements. That is exactly why they are not taught here as generic English with a different exam name on top.
Before a task is taught, the starting point is the requirement of that specific exam: what the task is designed to assess, what evidence earns credit, where candidates commonly lose performance and how that needs to translate into something the individual learner can actually do.
The question is not, “What English lesson can I teach today?” It is: “What is this learner trying to achieve, what does this exam require, and what is stopping those two things from meeting?”
IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic. Not once as a demonstration, but properly, and more than once.
I keep sitting them because these tests keep changing. IELTS began phasing out traditional paper delivery from mid 2026, with the exact timetable varying by market. TOEFL changed on 21 January 2026. PTE added new speaking tasks in 2025. That is why current preparation needs current official task and scoring information rather than an old course outline.
So I know what the room feels like now, what the current timing does to your thinking, and where the marks quietly disappear in the format you will actually sit. That is why my advice is about this year's test, not the one I remember.
A low score tells us where to investigate. It does not automatically tell us why the result happened. The useful work starts when the score is connected to the learner's actual response, the current task and the published criteria.
Two learners can receive the same headline score for different reasons. One may not fully answer the task. Another may answer it but lose control under time pressure. Another may have a route or task understanding problem rather than a general English problem.
We do not invent the cause from the score. We look at the evidence, choose the strongest supported priority, practise that priority and then check whether the improvement transfers to unfamiliar work.
That is the method: investigate first, teach what the evidence supports, then retest rather than adding more practice by default.
Sometimes the evidence does not support buying more lessons, and I will say so.
The next step may be to verify a regulator or immigration requirement, check a test provider's current review or retake options, or practise one specific issue independently. Those decisions depend on the learner's exact route and the current official rules.
A QuickTalk Tutor recommendation should follow the evidence. If a paid package is not the useful next step, the recommendation should say that clearly.

My job is not to replace your English with mine. If your vocabulary already communicates what you need, we work with it. If your grammar is already sufficient for the problem we are solving, I do not create grammar lessons simply to fill time.
Where language genuinely is the blocker, we work on it. Where it is not, we do not pretend it is.
The aim is to find the smallest supported change that makes the biggest useful difference to your performance.
QuickTalk Tutor is being built as a teaching system, not a personality dependent collection of lessons. As the company grows, tutors working with learners will follow the same evidence led approach, route specific requirements, own words principle and review standards led by the Principal Tutor.
You will work with a dedicated tutor who gets to know how you perform, not just what score you are aiming for. If you continue with QuickTalk Tutor, the evidence already gathered becomes the starting point for your learning rather than sending you back to the beginning.
People with a specific goal and a real deadline, who want an evidence based explanation of the strongest supported blocker rather than more generic practice. First timers who want to get it right the first time. Repeat candidates who are tired of guessing.
And honestly, who I don't: if you want a guaranteed band promised upfront, I'm not your tutor. Nobody can promise that responsibly, and anyone who does is telling you something they can't know.
We are here to help. If there is something you could not find on this page, get in touch and we will point you in the right direction.
